A new force in the world of music videos has emerged. That force is TikiKiti. TikiKiti loves music videos. But not just any music video — or all music videos. TikiKiti is dedicated to the world of the indie film producer — the fan-made music video and the "unofficial" music video.
It has been pointed out to the new guy (me) that our vernacular is lacking. Recent history indicates we have been referring to these visual specimens as "fan-made video" or "amateur video" neither of which really resonates, you know?
Vérité is a slice of life. Mostly using hand-held camera techniques these videos record — a moment in the filmmakers life. Often they are made into music videos as an afterthought.
